Cougar Canyon Co-op, located in North Delta BC, was formed in 1981.
We are a non-profit association and manage ourselves to up keep the well being of the Co-op.
The Co-op is run in accordance with the >Co-operative Act
All members of the Co-op must become shareholders ($1900 payment).
The Co-op is run by the Board of Directors elected every year in October from the membership. The Board of Directors is assisted by committees assigned to certain tasks to ease the workload of the board members.
The housing complex consists of 24 town-homes. Each unit has a fenced in backyard and a car-port.
Six 3 bedroom units, twelve 2 bedroom units and six 1 bedroom units arranged in a U shape form the complex.
The 3 bedroom units and six of the 2 bedroom units have an unfinished basement/laundry room. The rest of the units have a laundry room.
As you can see on the pictures we have lots of green space.
The complex has a play-ground for children and ample parking stalls to accomodate for extra vehicles and visitors.
The complex is located just a 5-10 minute walk to elementary and high schools. We are also within walking distance to a mall, restaurants, specialty stores and major outlets (ie. Home Depot, Future shop, London Drugs, Safeway, Save-on Foods). The Co-op is also nearby to the bus depot for flexibility with public transit.
